Sono inoltre un convinto sostenitore del software OpenSource che, credo, avra’ un ruolo sempre piu’ strategico (in verita’ con un po’ di ritardo lo dicono anche Gartner e simili) anche nelle grosse realta’ che sono un po’ piu’ lente a recepire le innovazioni.

One of my latest interests are NOSQL databases: they suite very well (distribuited, horizontal scalable, open technologies and mostly opensource) for very large data/log collection and analysis. Ebay, Google, Yahoo and many others use them!! In this area the relational databases are too slow, not easily and/or cheaply scalable. I have experiences with Apache CouchDB and Riak.
Do you offer a non gpl version of your erlang crawler?
I think GPL license is the best one: you are FREE to improve my project joining or forking it.. and everyone will be able to appreaciate your enanchements..
But if you need a not GPL license of ebot for your bysiness, you should pay a bit for it… I could also develop for you new specific features…
